Reflections: ending up on the front page of hackernews was terrifying
It's Friday which means it's time to reflect (I think so anyway, I forget which day I did it last week). Short one this week to reflect the amount of brain cells available.
Two questions:
What did I like?
What did I not like?
The good stuff
I wrote a post complaining about my degree and it somehow got on the front page of hackernews. This was good because it obviously struck a chord and lots of people left nice comments about the future and career stuff.
I got some work done on my assignment and made good progress on knitting my dragon mittens.
An old friend called me with a job opportunity (just now - eeks!). I really hope it works out because job hunting is destroying my soul.
My stomach meds kicked in and I can eat and sleep again, huzzah!
The bad stuff
My post complaining about my degree got on the front page of hackernews. This was bad because people perceived me and I wasn't expecting that. Some of the comments were annoying, so I stopped reading them.
Balancing health problems with an assignment deadline has been hard work. Too much stress = worse health but not enough stress = no assignment progress. How do people get stuff done while remaining chill?! Tell me your secrets.
I'm over having to take medication. But I must continue so I can eat and sleep, bleh.
Keep/change (almost forgot this section)
- Keep taking the tum meds at least until the assignment is done
- Keep writing posts even though people might actually read them
- Eat more of a variety of stuff to make up for not enough food lately
- Throw my smartphone out of the window
- Start learning some MATHS (yay) for my computer architecture/OS module. Do you know any good learning materials for this? Send them to me here!
Ok I'm done. Toodles!
